Some believe that they know what is best for others. I am not sure how one maintains such an attitude without the sort of lack of perspective that comes from inexperience with the larger world.

A scrappy small green one, with pockmarks on the right and a chunk missing on the left.

You think you're better than me?

How can you believe that what applies to you applies to everyone (or anyone), if you have a sense of the breadth of what is out there?

A big, double blue nut, with a crusty join and smooth sides. Looking down the end, showing scraped-off blue shell on the right and a fairly neat crack down the right, away from us. A diagonal view, from a similar vantage as the previous one, but we can see more of the crusty valley.

Having your own opinions is natural and expected. And of course they may differ from others'. The problem comes when you think your opinions are better, and seek to impose them on others in an attempt to "fix" them.

Perhaps that is natural and expected, too, albeit unfortunate. But again, it seems difficult to imagine that someone with breadth of experience would think that is a reasonable thing to do.

An irregularly-shaped small red one, with an indent in the middle.

Now to force everyone to agree with my definition of "reasonable."

Yet, if you find something good, don't you want to share it with the world, shout it from the hilltops, share it with others? What's wrong with that?

A big smooth, completely merged double-nut. Almost looks rectangular, with a chip off the top-right.

Nothing is wrong with that.
What's wrong is getting upset if other people say "No, thank you, that's not for me." Or even if they say "Get out of here with your snake oil!"

Don't you think?
